We arrange the placement and management of non-Union goods under the customs warehousing procedure, with import charges suspended until the procedure is discharged.
How it works
Goods may be stored in an authorised customs warehouse without payment of import charges and without certain commercial-policy measures being applied, to the extent permitted by law. Storage is generally not subject to a time limit, except where the nature of the goods justifies restrictions.
Our services
- preparation of the customs warehousing declaration
- transfer from temporary storage or transit
- customs stock records and reconciliation
- support for usual forms of handling and permitted operations
- discharge by import, re-export, transit or another procedure
When it is useful
- goods imported before they are sold
- goods intended for re-export
- phased imports and cash-flow optimisation
- regional consolidation or distribution
Important: Customs warehousing does not transfer ownership and does not replace licensing, restriction or product-safety obligations.
